Locking the BIOS prevents unauthorised hardware-level changes and secures your fleet at the firmware layer.
Set BIOS Admin Password:
- Reboot and enter BIOS
- Navigate to Security → Supervisor Password
- Enter new password, confirm
- Optionally: set User Password for boot-only lock
- Save changes and reboot
Recommended Policy:
- Set Supervisor Password
- Disable USB Boot, PXE Boot
- Enable Secure Boot
- Lock settings with password protection
Lost password? BIOS chip reset must be done via GeiG authorised service provider with proof of ownership.
